ZUM's classes are designed to enhance performance and encourage camaraderie. Serving a broad spectrum of fitness levels ZUM's innovative classes will keep you strong, agile, and free from injury.

Group :: Classes
ZUM classes are not only a great way to get expert instruction, but also provide motivation and fun from the positive group dynamics. All classes are designed to result in specific outcomes, such as flexibility, balance, strength, power, aerobic capacity, agility, core strength (mid-section), and total-body conditioning (a synthesis of the above-mentioned capacities). Staff members can help you select classes that are best suited to your goals during your monthly Tune-Up.

  bullet Ab Rehab :: All fitness levels
The focus of this class in on developing core strength. Your instructor will coach you through dynamic movements using principles found in martial arts, gymnastics, yoga, and sport-specific training to isolate and develop the four abdominal regions as well as your mid- and low-back.

Anaerobics :: All fitness levels
Want to add some pace to your run or be more mobile in everyday activity and in your workouts? Hop, skip, and jump into this strength and conditioning class! Improve your speed, power, agility, reaction time, and quickness. Your anaerobic fitness will progress along with the exercises each week. This class is designed to reach a peak every 8 weeks.

 
  bullet Body Definitions :: All fitness levels
This strength and conditioning class changes emphasis every six weeks allowing participants to follow a supervised, progressive program. All fitness levels are welcome - your instructor is able to modify movements according to your individual needs and limitations.
 
  bullet Bootcamp 201 :: Intermediate to Advanced fitness levels
This class focuses on a playful, challenging fitness style with exercises that focus mostly on using your own body weight. Learn to use our playground equipment and toys to give a fresh, functional twist to your workout!
 
  bullet Circuit Conditioning :: All fitness levels
Improve your mobility, aerobic endurance, strength, and power with this challenging one-stop workout. Your instructor will quickly move you station to station and give exercise progressions and variations as needed.
 
  bullet Cycling :: All fitness levels
Build your aerobic stamina and anaerobic capacity in a fun and motivating environment. The group ride provides participants with a challenging workout designed to accommodate individual needs. The intensity of the class can be adjusted to the participant's fitness level. Your instructor will guide you through a serious of hills, turns, and sprints on LeMond stationary bikes.
 
  bullet Endurance Cycling :: All fitness levels
This is a longer version of our popular group cycling class. You will focus on hill-climbing, sprinting, even more strengthening of the glutes, calves, and quads. Whether you are looking for off-season cycling conditioning or general fitness, this is a great class.
 
  bullet Energy Ball :: All fitness levels
Improve awareness and identify your body's imbalances while developing range of motion, strength, balance and agility.  Expect a great core workout that includes back and abdominal stability exercises, balance moves, and coordination builders.
 
  bullet Finding Flexibility™ :: All fitness levels
By regularly taking this class, you will enhance flexibility, reduce muscle aches, and have a more relaxed, supple body. Based in the Feldenkrais Method®, combined with elements from the instructor’s background in dance and pilates, these dynamic exercises awaken your body’s innate ability to move with ease. Experience the joy of moving with freedom, grace, and power!
 
  bullet Flow Yoga :: All fitness levels
A steadily paced class that uses sun salutations and breath to link each pose with the next. Reconnect with your body and soul through this gentle flow yoga class drawn from a variety of Hatha Yoga traditions. Students will learn to grow and sequence their Yoga practice.
 
  bullet GRUV :: All fitness levels
Develop dynamic full-body strength, be nimble, condition your heart. Follow
the rhythm, or don't. Follow my movements, or don't. Sweat, laugh, play.
Move with the might of a sumo wrestler and the grace of a dancer, and do it
with a smile on your face. Get into the groov.
 
  bullet HardCore™ :: Intermediate and Advanced
Developed to provide a safe, progressive, and vigorous workout that teaches participants how to use their bodies efficiently, this engaging class combines full-body strength training, jumping and agility drills, and balance movements to make your body resilient to injuries and prepared to take on whatever recreational activities you like to enjoy. Our coaches modify the exercises and interval times to suit each individual so you get what you need out of each class.
 
  bullet Joyfull Yoga™ :: Intermediate to Advanced
An Eastern-style Yoga class with components of Yoga philosophy, breath, and movement. Your growth in practice will be enhanced by adjustments and coaching from an instructor who is committed to helping others move through their barriers.
 
  bullet Jump In! :: All fitness levels
Work on agility, coordination, and complete body movement through the use of jump rope. Learn new single rope and double-dutch skills that will take you back to your days on the playground.
 
  bullet Kettlebell 101 :: Intermediate to advanced fitness levels
Develop power, stamina, coordination and balance in this short and sweet session designed to maximize your use of time, and space. 30 minutes of pure fun and hard work!
 
  bullet Martial Arts Conditioning :: All fitness levels
This class takes skills and drills from a variety of martial arts to develop agility, balance, power and mobility. You will learn basic techniques of tumbling, punching, wrestling, kicking and scrambling in a safe but challenging environment.
 
  bullet MÜV :: All fitness levels
This class will teach you how to move. You will become faster, stronger, lighter, more powerful, more graceful, and more balanced. Whether you run marathons, climb mountains, downhill ski, cycle, practice yoga, power lift, or play sports, this class is for you. Using music and movement together, we will become dynamic movers. We will have fun. We will MÜV. *Participants are welcome experience this class three ways: for the full 90 min, for the first hour (530-630p), or the last hour (6-7pm).
 
  bullet Pilates Mat :: All fitness levels
An exercise system designed to build strength while muscles are in their lengthened state, as opposed to traditional exercise, which improves strength while muscle length fluctuates. Mat work increases core strength/stability and spinal flexibility. Pilates also helps to develop awareness of how your body works by helping you tune-in to the subtle origins of the movements.
 
  bullet Rock Climbing :: All fitness levels
Take your fitness to a higher level with climbing. This new class will focus on whole body movement with a strong emphasis on core strength, precision, balance and upper body conditioning. Climbing combines physical and mental challenges that will keep you on your toes. All levels are welcome!
 
  bullet Self-Defense: Evasion and Escapes :: All fitness levels
In this monthly workshop we will focus on avoiding physical conflict. Evasion is the most effective form of self preservation. We will use drills and games to develop spatial awareness, and the ability to avoid conflict. A natural evolution of this concept is the escape in the event of "capture". Learn to use your new-found mobility and mechanics to escape from a variety of holds, grabs and pins. No previous martial arts experience is necessary, and this open to all fitness levels. Disclaimer: In order to learn any EFFECTIVE self defense technique it is critical to work with partners. There will be contact, and you will be encouraged to get close to your fellow practitioners. The exercises and drills are drawn from the Russian Systema, an ancient Martial Art that has been adapted by the Russian Special Forces, as well as security forces around the world. Every first Saturday of each month.
 
  bullet Survivor :: Intermediate and Advanced
The goal: make it through a demanding series of "challenges" designed to test your speed, agility, endurance, strength, and be the last person standing. Looking for a challenge? Here's a stimulating anaerobic workout designed to put you through your paces.
 
  bullet Track Drills :: All fitness levels
Add some speed and power to your running starts. Focus on footwork, power, and speed on 20-30 meter track. Test and retest of 20 meter sprint times may also be conducted every four weeks.
 
  bullet Vinyasa Flow :: Intermediate and Advanced
A Vinyasa Yoga based class that draws from martial arts to create a fluid series of movements, linked through breath control, to develop dynamic flexibility and strength through all primary planes of motion.

Weigh Fit :: All fitness levels
Get a jump start on your day with this early morning interval-based workout designed to awaken your hips and core, bring awareness to posture, improve balance, and give you a cardio boost. Modifications for all fitness levels can be given. A sure way to strengthen and tone your body, and clear your mind before your busy days get started.

 
  bullet Yamuna Body Rolling :: All fitness levels
Learn to elongate your muscles, release your spine for better alignment, and increase your relaxation response.
 
  bullet Yoga Prana Flow :: All fitness levels
This is an energetic, creative, full spectrum approach embodying the flow yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea. Students are empowered to experience a rhythmic and energetic approach to vinyasa where the breath initiates and inspires all movement. This approach involves: movement meditation, energetic alignments, stages of asana leading to a "peak asana". Chanting, visualization, chakras, and pranayama are also often integrated within the practice. The fluidity of this practice transforms mechanized movement and thinking into a creative, pulsating wave flow!
 
  bullet Yoga Strength :: Intermediate to advanced levels
The goal of this class is to maintain equanimity and harmony between Mind, Body and Breath while seeking to cultivate and strengthen your own inner power.
 
  bullet ZUMLATES :: All fitness levels
ZUMLATES is a fun, creative way to get a serious workout while strengthening and toning your whole body. Amy has fused Zumba® , Latin infused funk dance, with STOTT Pilates resulting in one soul quenching, internationally peppered hour. You will learn basic Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Flamenco, Samba, and Reggaeton dance movements while focusing on strengthening your spine, back and core.

The collaborations feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. The fusion of Pilates helps gain postural awareness and strengthen those deep core stabilizers that promote a healthy back and spine. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got ZUMLATES!
