ZUM's classes are designed to enhance performance and encourage camaraderie. Serving a broad spectrum of fitness levels ZUM's innovative classes will keep you strong, agile, and free from injury.

Group :: Classes
ZUM classes are not only a great way to get expert instruction, but also provide motivation and fun from the positive group dynamics. All classes are designed to result in specific outcomes, such as flexibility, balance, strength, power, aerobic capacity, agility, core strength (mid-section), and total-body conditioning (a synthesis of the above-mentioned capacities). Staff members can help you select classes that are best suited to your goals during your monthly Tune-Up.

  bullet Ab Rehab :: All fitness levels
The focus of this class in on devoping core strength.  Your instructor will coach you through an hour of core based movements using principles found in sport training, martial arts, gymnastics, and yoga to isolate and develop the four abdominal regions.

Ballet Barre:: All fitness levels
Learn coordination, posture, poise and balance while developing strength and flexibility through a wide range of motion. Instructor, Ross Yearsley, has years of professional dance experience, both with the American Ballet Theater in New York City and with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. No ballet experience is required.

 
  bullet Body Definitions :: All fitness levels
This supervised and regimented weight training class takes place on the weight room floor. The instructor will introduce a slightly different exercise program each session that may be modified to meet individual needs and limitations.
 
  bullet Cardio Core :: All fitness levels
Expect to sweat and have fun in this ballet and dance-based 45-minute class. You'll move and flow to dance beats, with brief pit stops for some intensive midsection work. Learn to pace yourself during an aerobic workout while moving with power and grace. Expect to sweat and have fun.
 
  bullet Circuit Strength :: All fitness levels
Come and get your lift on at lunch! Get your muscles and your heart pumping. Using dumbbells and strengthening body-weight exercise, along with some fun ZUM-style agility movements, Circuit Strength develops the muscular, aerobic, and anaerobic systems.
 
  bullet Cycling :: All fitness levels
Build your aerobic stamina and anaerobic capacity in a fun and motivating environment. The group ride provides participants with a challenging workout designed to accommodate individual needs. The intensity of the class can be adjusted to the participant's fitness level. Your instructor will guide you through a serious of hills, turns, and sprints on LeMond stationary bikes.
 
  bullet Endurance Cycling :: All fitness levels
This is a longer version of our popular group cycling class. You will focus on hill-climbing, sprinting, even more strengthening of the glutes, calves, and quads. Whether you are looking for off-season cycling conditioning or general fitness, this is a great class.
 
  bullet HardCore™ :: Intermediate and Advanced
This rigorous interval-training workout (alternates high-intensity exercise with low-intensity exercise) is designed to improve both anaerobic and aerobic capacity for a total body workout. HardCore places an emphasis on enhancing your core strength, improving posture, and keeping knees, hips and ankles in excellent alignment so that all joints are strong and functional.
 
  bullet Jump Rope; :: Intermediate and Advanced
Join Rene Bibaud, Cirque de Soleil professional rope jumper in a 45 minute class designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, and anaerobic power. Skills drills and thrills are the basis for the class design. Participants will learn a variety of jump rope moves to make this incredible exercise fun, and rewarding. Taught in a "success-oriented" style this class will help rope jumpers of all skill levelstake their rope jumping to the next level.
 
  bullet Kickboxing Conditioning :: All fitness levels
This high-intensity class develops cardiovascular stamina while building balance and strength through movements that require increased range of motion, and core stability. Focusing on proper form and alignment your instructor will coach you through a circuit training format that builds skill while conditioning the body.
 
  bullet Pilates Mat :: All fitness levels
An exercise system designed to build strength while muscles are in their lengthened state, as opposed to traditional exercise, which improves strength while muscle length fluctuates. Mat work increases core strength/stability and spinal flexibility. Pilates also helps to develop awareness of how your body works by helping you tune-in to the subtle origins of the movements.
 
  bullet Sport :: All fitness levels
This class focuses on speed, agility, balance, hip power and mobility with a goal of improving skills required for most sports.  Class meets outside when weather allows and may include group basketball, volleyball, football and soccer games.
 
  bullet Stability Ball:: All fitness levels
Improve awareness and identify your body's imbalances while developing range of motion, strength, balance and agility.  Expect a great core workout that includes back and abdominal stability exercises, balance moves, and coordination builders.
 
  bullet Survivor :: Intermediate and Advanced
The goal: make it through a demanding series of "challenges" designed to test your speed, agility, endurance, strength, and be the last person standing. Looking for a challenge? Here's a stimulating anaerobic workout designed to put you through your paces.
 
  bullet Weight Ball Conditioning :: All fitness levels
Maximize performance wtih the use of a weight ball (medicine ball).  Expect to maintain an inceased heart rate while performing strength moves, mainly glute and core based movements.  Your intstructor will introduce you to a variety of functionally based exercies.
 
  bullet ActivYoga :: All fitness levels
A yoga style designed for the active person that is a fusion of the ancient forms of Yoga with safe biomechanics creating an energetic workout. ActivYoga uses a combination of different styles of Hatha (physical) Yoga namely Vinyasa (flowing) and Iyengar (alignment) utilizing some static or isometric holding of the poses with focus on the breath. ActivYoga incorporates these styles into a free flowing practice that builds strength, reduces stress and increases postural awareness and focus. Sweat and breath--not meditation--is the key to this style of yoga that creates a workout that is challenging and safe as well as revitalizing.
 
  bullet Yoga Flow :: All fitness levels
A steadily paced class that uses sun salutations and breath to link each pose with the next. Reconnect with your body and soul through this gentle flow yoga class drawn from a variety of Hatha Yoga traditions. Students will learn to grow and sequence their Yoga practice.

Joyfull Yoga™ :: Intermediate to Advanced
An Eastern-style Yoga class with components of Yoga philosophy, breath, and movement. Your growth in practice will be enhanced by adjustments and coaching from an instructor who is committed to helping others move through their barriers.

 
  bullet Zumba :: All fitness levels
Come get your dance on with Zumba! Set to upbeat Latin music, you'll learn easy-to-follow dance steps that will leave your body and mind feeling invigorated. Featuring aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms, Zumba is a fun and effective source to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body conditioning.
